The tourist farm Ljubica lies alone in middle of meadows, at the edge of Polhov Gradec dolomites, with a majestic look at the Škofja Loka Hills, the Karavanke Mountain Range and the Julian Alps.

During the summer months a swimming is open in which you can refresh yourself after conquering one of the nearby peaks. The family can take you to a lojtrnik or zapravljivček ride, or point you to secret locations in the woods, where blueberries and mushrooms grow. The farm can be an excellent starting point for excursions in this part of Slovenia. Take a tour of Ljubljana, or see the world famous Postojna Cave. In winter you have Stari vrh and Cerkno ski centres in the vicinity of the farm where skiing and other snow related activities are possible. In all seasons you may go hiking the Polhov Gradec, Škofja Loka or Idrija Hills, commonly known as Slovenian Dolomites.
Tourist farm Ljubica offers the guests a total of 24 beds in ten rooms and two apartments. All rooms have a private bathroom with shower and toilets and furniture made of solid wood. All rooms have access to a common TV corner.
In 2008 we gained a certificate for organic farming, which in other words means, that the food we produce and use is made in a natural way.
The food is homemade as the farm, boasting an organic farming certificate, cultivates all our own vegetables and produces milk and milk products (sour milk, cottage cheese, butter), meat and dried meat products (sausages, braciola), while the children always prefer macaroni, crepes and semolina pudding. The adults will love a small glass of homemade brandy to accompany their homemade dishes. They will clear their throat with brandy after they return from short hikes to Bukov vrh, Pasja ravan and Sv. Urban or from longer hikes to Mount Blegoš and Mount Lubnik.
Because the farm is completely isolated and situated in the middle of meadows, it is highly suitable for families or groups of children accompanied by their teachers. They prepare three- to six-day long programmes for children that will leave them no time for swinging on the swings or playing in the sandbox, as they will be occupied with nature and animals all day long. They bake buns with the lady of the house, help with the milking in the cowshed, ride on a horse drawn carriage, walk along the study trail and help care for the cows, horses, pigs, sheep, the donkey, ducks, chickens and cats. In winter, the hosts arrange a sled run for them, and the ski slopes on Stari vrh and Cerkno are also not far away.
We are hardly 25 km away from the popular winter ski resorts Cerkno, 13 km away from Stari vrh and 30 km away from Krvavec, the drive from Ljubljana to our farm takes less than half an hour of your time. Despite the secluded position and height above sea level, which measures exactly 650 m, is the road to the farm always accessible.
Besides the peaceful surroundings and fresh air the tourist farm Ljubica offers many recreation possibilities. You can take a short distance walk in the nature, a longer walk to Bukov vrh, Pasja ravan or Sv. Urban, the most persistent can walk to Blegoš or Lubnik, if the weather conditions are suitable and the season is right. Those of you, who like sports, can play tennis, go cross-country skiing, swim in the river, fish, cycle, go bowling or hunting. To visit the farm in the winter is a special experience. During the day you can ski in the winter ski resorts Cerkno (25 km), Stari vrh (13 km), Krvavec (30 km) and relaxe in one of our well equiped and clean rooms in the evenings. Children can sledge near the farm. If you like short trips, you can visit Škofja Loka, Kranj, Bled-Bled Jezersko, Ljubljana and Postojna. The choice is yours.
