
For over fifty years, The Upper Sava Valley Museum has been recording, collecting, documenting, studying and exhibiting the Upper Sava region’s cultural heritage and thus kept its historical memory alive.
In Jesenice the museum has permanent collections in the Ruard Manor (ironworking, mining and paleontological collection), Kasarna (reconstructed worker’s flat), Kolpern and in the Kos Manor Gallery. The history and development of the mountaineering activity is presented in the Slovenian Alpine Museum in Mojstrana. The Liznjek House in Kranjska Gora is a genuine Slovene Alpine house with original interior. In the Kajžnk House ethnological heritage of Rateče is on display.
