Our story began 15 years ago, when intergenerational cooperation along with family support from our parents proved to be the best grounds for a successful beginning of our business. Dreams of a space, filled with warmth, great food and wine and exceptional people from all over the world, enjoying the tastes and smells have always inspired our family, starting with our parents who opened the Rakar restaurant in 1994 in an idyllic village Ponikve near Trebnje.
Younger generation brought along a fresh breeze and a surge of new ideas, trends and experiments, but kept the signature hospitality, kindness and the warm, welcoming feel of Dolenjska region. We are known for our exceptional cousine, unparalleled in our region, appreciated by guests all over the world.
